Chapter 86-Cruel Intentions

After the meeting with the school I tried to be more diligent in making the triplets spend more time with me and Finley. To help bring out their individuality I enrolled them in different afterschool activities. Edson was in Art club, Elphie was taking Ballet, and Elton was now a scout. Aric and Bynni had both come over to talk with them about the importance of being responsible with what they are. They seemed to understand and apologized to me and the teacher for their behavior. We enjoyed family meals and they started even taking an interest in playing with Finley.

It appeared that things were getting better but they were also still secretive at times. I wanted to ask Aric or Bynni if they could get some sort of read on them, but that would have been too much of an invasion. They were dealing with a lot and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt hoping this was simply an adjustment period. They were curious about what they were and how they came to be that way although I had explained it, they were fascinated with the story. They were smart children; I gave them some leeway since them being like that was partially my fault. If I hadn’t gone to Mulo that day none of the events that followed would have happened. I had made so many mistakes that had negatively affected my kids, I was determined to do right by them and Finely. Today I had plans to take them to Splish Splash, the new water park that had opened. They had been begging to go and I finally agreed since they had shown an improvement in their behavior.
As I walked back downstairs I noticed it was too quiet.  I left them playing with Finley in the study while I finished cleaning the upstairs, but when I walked into the room the door was open and they weren’t there.  The next few moments happened in what seemed to be slow motion.

The triplets all stood at the edge of the pool watching but not moving and as I approached I saw why.  Finley was floating face down in the water and my heart stopped.

I jumped in scooping her up into my arms.
“No, please be ok, please be ok.” I begged silently.  Carrying her over to the lounger I began giving her CPR.  “One of you go call 911 now!”  I screamed but they didn’t move.  I continued to try the CPR and was finally rewarded with her coughing up the water before wailing loudly.
“Oh thank God!”  I exclaimed cradling her in my arms.  Turning to them I didn’t even try and keep the anger out of my voice.  “What the hell happened?  Who opened the door?”  I demanded.
“She wanted to go outside.”  Edson calmly responded.  The other two remained quiet.
“I don’t care if she was asking to go outside.  You three know the rules!  You know she isn’t allowed outside without me for this very reason.  How could you do this?”  I ran past them into the house.  Punching in Carter’s number I prayed he would be at home.
“Hello.”
“Oh Carter thank goodness please tell me you’re at home.”
“Well Vicki and I were on the way out but yeah I’m home now.”
“I need you.”  I broke down crying once it hit me I could have lost her.  If anything had happened I would have never forgiven myself. “Finley….in the pool…CPR…” was all I managed to get out between sobs.  Three minutes later Carter and Vicki were at the house.  Carter gently took Finley from my arms to check her over while Vicki headed into the kitchen to get me a drink.
“I called 911 since I wasn’t sure…” Carter started but didn’t need to finish.  I just nodded in agreement understanding.  The paramedics arrived but Carter had already told me she was fine.  They did another quick check since they came but didn’t feel she needed to go to the hospital.  I got us both into dry clothes then started crying again seeing her sitting there playing totally over the ordeal now.  Every time I looked at her I saw Jonas, and I know Carter felt the same way.
“Amari what happened?”  He asked as Vicki sat and played with her.
“The triplets, they opened the door.  I left them playing with her in the study while I did some cleaning.  They opened the door.  They know the rules.”  I got up from the couch in search of them.  They were outside still up in the tree house as if nothing happened.
“Get down here right now!”  I yelled.  Elphie stuck her head out the window before they all descended down the ladder.
“Oh my…do you have any idea….what in the world were you thinking?  And then you didn’t even try to help her?  All three of you can swim and yet you just stood there.  I don’t even think I can begin to understand.”  I was furious.  This was the final straw in their bag of tricks.  With them trying to compel the teachers into giving them better grades, and then biting kids at school, now this.  I was at the end of my rope.
“For the love of all things under the sun, what is wrong with you three?”
“There isn’t anything wrong with us!”  Elton exclaimed.  “We are just doing what we are meant to do.  We are better than that stupid teacher, and all those whiny kids at school.”
“Better than them?  What?  Where do you get this from?”
“We are mom.  You are trying to hold us back but Ma..”  Edson gave Elphie an elbow to the side to make her stop talking but it was too late.  She didn’t have to finish saying the name for me to know who had been feeding them this nonsense.
“Marisol?!  You have been talking to Marisol?  You…you almost let your sister die why because she’s not a vampire therefore she’s not important?  Is that what you think?  Is that what Marisol tells you?”  I was yelling now unable to fathom the actions of my children.  How could they be so cold and heartless as to standby and watch as she nearly drowned?  A more frightening thought popped into my head. “How did she get into the pool?”  They each looked at each other but didn’t answer. “How!”
“She fell in mom.  Gosh did you think we pushed her?”
“Well Edson yes, yes I did because at this point I have no idea how…”  Taking a deep frustrated breath I just looked at them.  My babies tainted first by Mulo and now by Marisol.  “Just go to your rooms.  Stay there until I tell you otherwise.”  Without another word they ran into the house.  I turned to see Carter standing in the doorway holding Finley.
“Hey we can take her for the night.  I don’t mind since you have them to deal with.”  I walked over taking her from his arms snuggling her close.
“She’s ok Carter.  She’s really ok.”  He put his arms around us both giving me a kiss on the temple.
“Yes she is.”  Reluctantly I let them take her for the night.  I wanted to keep her close to me, but I was really concerned about the triplets.  They would no longer be allowed to go to the park or anything on their own since they told me that is when Marisol would usually meet with them.  I was continuing this crazy demand of hers, yet that wasn’t enough.
As much as I hated it I knew I couldn’t handle her on my own. Every time I tried she threw me another curve ball. As much as I hated it, I needed him.
I’ll be there tomorrow.

****I wanna say thanks to Zhip for creating the pool poses that inspired this chapter.*******

  1. Wow! And you said I was wrong calling them The Trio of Terror, The Triplets of Torture, the Terrible Tots Three, The Torturous Threesome, The Triplets of Trepidation...I think I was right on the money. I bet those bad ass kids did toss poor Finley in the water! I hope she wasn't under there for too long! They just stood there watching all unattached and emotionless! Scary.

Mulo...like Amari said as much as she hates it she does need him. He caused this problem so he needs to come and clean it up. Asshole...and then MARISOL!? Wow! I wonder what she told those kids! They actually listened to some strange woman over their own mother for real?? I hate that she has that kind of influence over Amari's kids as if she doesn't have enough to deal with.

Finley is good with Carter and hopefully she can enjoy a nice break from the Terrifying Triplicate! I'm just surprised they hadn't tried feeding on the poor baby!

    1. LOL..DJ they aren't that bad. Well ok maybe a little but they are young, there is still hope for them. If Amari had been a minute of two later, the ending could have been much worse.

She does need him. They are vamps because of him, and thanks to Marisol's meddling they are turning into bad ones. :( Kids are impressionable. The fact that Amari gives them the watered-down version of things left them open to learning more. They had questions about stuff, Marisol came along to answer them.

She is good with Carter. They are family and he's a good guy. No they haven't tried feeding on her but hmmm that gives me some ideas. :)

  2. Poor Finley! At least Amari was around to save her. It could have ended badly.

    1. It could have ended badly but luckily it didn't. Growing up with those three is gonna be rough for her. :(

  3. Enjoyed you're update and am glad that Finley is alright. Whether vampires or not there can be strong sibling rivalry in a family. I think Finley would be safer with Carter at this time until Amari can work things out.

    Have a great day!

    1. Yes Finley will be fine. 'Uncle' Carter and Vicki will make sure of that. Amari has reached out for help so hopefully things will be better and Finley can be safe at home.

  4. When she ACTUALLY calls (well, not exactly, but...) for MULO, you know things are bad.
    Okay, new plan!
Kill Marisol first, then we'll see about Mulo!
What is up with the trips! DJ was right! Damn DJ, so many different names! But right! So cold - Stone Cold Trips - I second the thought that they pushed her in. Poor Finley, she's just a baby...

Ughh... DEATH TO MARISOL!! Manipulating children...
I need an Advil (and an anvil for Marisol! I'm taking care of this today!!)

    1. Yes that is when you know things are bad. :P Killing Marisol, yes that would get rid of her biggest problem there. Mulo sometimes has his heart in the right place. Not often but sometimes. There might be a chance for him.

I know right, DJ and all the name calling for trips. They are a little cold hearted sadly. They didn't push her in, they just didn't keep her away from the edge, or jump in to save her, or get their mom. Yeah that was kinda bad.

      the anvil may be needed.

  5. Mmm, Bad, bad Marisol. Maybe Amari must learn from a witch and turn Marisol in a toad..

    1. No I have one even better than turning Marisol into a toad, use the potion that cures all Supernaturals, including vampires. That will take the wind out of Marisol's sails. Then after turning her human, then cause her life to be a living hell. Payback would be so sweet. ~~ LaBlue0314

    2. LOL Alleen. She may need some extra supernatural intervention.

LaBlue--Making her human would be like death to Marisol. She loves the power she holds as a vamp. Payback would be sweet.

  7. Amari is really a mess. I can't believe Marisol would poison the triplets. I mean, I believe she would, but I can't believe Mulo would allow it. I am sure he must know, somehow. He best get his butt there and it should have been immediately, not tomorrow. (Now we can all punch him in the nose!) The kids are really out of control. I really hope that they can be reigned in. I am worried that it's too late.

    1. Marisol is a real piece of work. She just can't leave her alone. Mulo is only tapped in to Amari and knows only what she knows. Seeing as how they parted on majorly bad terms he was staying away until she wanted him back. She really doesn't want him but at this point has no choice.

I will see what I can do about punching him in the nose for you. :P

Let's hope it's not too late.

    1. Well since my game was all glitchy and I aged them up without first letting them earn A's in school they got bad traits. :( So I'm working with what I have.

The line to harm Marisol is long. I'm passing out numbers.

  9. OMG!! Thank goodness Amari found the baby when she did! That could have ended up ending terribly! Hopefully Mulo can straighten the trips out! Can't wait to see what happens next!

    1. yes it could have but I wouldn't let that happen. She's calling Mulo more to keep Marisol off her back and away from her kids but him helping with the trips could be a bonus.

  10. Well...that scared the crap out of me, poor little finely so cute and innocent, glad she's okay though. Stupid Marisol...Can I stake her? Please? I have access to plenty of wooden stakes.... I'm sure I could get enough for everybody who wanted to join in the fun. I haven't particularly missed Mulo, but I hope he can straighten things out a bit.

    1. She is a cutie, looks so much like Jonas it's scary. Yes you can pass out the wooden stakes for Marisol. She needs that and more.

Yeah he hasn't been missed. :( poor guy but he's coming back to help clean up the mess he made.

  11. Wow, I loved how cold and evil those kids were. I mean, it's awful, but really well written. I'm glad Finley's okay!
And poor Amari, driven to actually asking for Mulo's help...I hope he actually is some help to her now and not just another problem she has to deal with!
I actually kind of missed Mulo. I mean, he's a shit and all, but I enjoy reading him when he's around.

    1. The trio of terror are a handful. I couldn't let anything happen to Finley. I think that would have been Amari's breaking point and she would have jumped off the nearest bridge. :(

Yes she was pushed to actually having to call out for Mulo. Let's hope he can be of some assistance to her. I think you are in the minority on missing him but he's been gone for a while, it was time to make a return.

  12. I can't wait to see what Mulo will do. Will he help Amari decide a punishment the three tiny terrors or will he do something about Marisol?

    1. I can't wait to see what he will do either. He can be helpful at times so hopefully his return will be a good thing.

  13. It's just never going to be enough for Marisol! I am so angry!!! I can't believe that she is messing with the minds of those babies! Convincing them that they are better than humans to the point that they would let their own baby sister die! I hope it's not too late for Amari to change the triplets thinking.

So good, Jaz, the writing the pictures, everything!

    1. Marisol is a woman scorned (in her eyes) and wants to see people suffer. :( Her influencing the triplets is just another way to make Amari's life miserable.

They are only kids so there may still be hope for them.

Thank you for your kind words. :D

    2. The return of Mulo muhahahahaha!!! I so love him=)

I love Amari dearly but I'll lay everything on the line to say once Mulo is done with Marisol there will be little left of her to try turn the triplets into something bad. They are worse than what I thought though, but they are still young so hoping a little more talking to from Amari and maybe their older siblings will get them back on the right track.

Have I said how happy I am that Mulo will be back even if for just a short time/ huggles Mulo=).......edenz~

    3. Aww Eden you sound all giddy at his return. Nice to know someone is looking forward to seeing him again.

Yes those three are a mess for sure but hopefully with Mulo to run interference with Marisol coupled with the guidance from Aric and Bynni they will get back on track and stop abusing what they are.

  14. Ahhh! This entry was so scary! Marisol is so wrong monkeying around with these poor impressionable children! Hopefully Mulo and their older siblings will be helpful in setting them straight.
