Intro

So here I am again, giving birth.  Something I have done 99 times before.  No you didn't misread that, I said 99 times.  One might wonder how is that even possible, and if it is possible WHY in the world would any woman want to have 100 children.  To know what got me here, I have to take you back to the beginning.

My name is Amari Vinson and this is my story.  It starts when I was 22.  I led a pretty bland life before that.  I was born to George and Kathy Vinson, my hometown is Riverview.  If you've never heard of it, that's because it's a small community where everybody knows everybody.  I never imagined my life would turn out to be anything special.  In fact I always thought I'd be like my mom and end up marrying my high school sweetheart, having a couple of kids, and leading an ordinary life.  My sister is the one I expected to do the wild and crazy thing.  My parents could only afford to send us to community college and that was still a struggle for them with her being a teacher and him a police officer.  That was fine for me, but she really wanted to go off somewhere, to get out of Riverview.  Before college, we were always together.  See we weren't just sisters, but we were twins and we did everything together.  My mom use to say we were inseparable.  College changed that.  Amella never liked being a small town girl and not being able to leave for college made her rebel in a BIG way.  She hung out with not so great people, drank every chance she got, it was bad and really hard on my parents.  One night walking from one frat party on the way to another, she was struck and killed by a hit and run.  The friend she was with was only slightly injured but was too drunk to assist at all in the investigation so her case still remains unsolved.  Things were never the same after that.  My parents could barely look at me because they no longer saw just my face, but also her's.  Friends didn't know what to say or how to act.  Everywhere I went reminded me of times I spent with her, things we did.  I couldn't take it anymore.  I told my parents that I was going to take a leave from school because I needed to just get away.  They didn't put up much of a fight, I think they understood why I needed to go.  I cashed out my "wedding day" fund 5 thousand simoleons.  Money I had been saving since a teen doing odd jobs around town.  My parents gave me another 5 thousand from their retirement fund even though I protested and don't them not to, they wanted to make sure I had enough to get started with.  It was hard to say goodbye, my mom made me promise to call at least once a week.  I got into the taxi and headed off to the big city of Los Aniegos where no one knew me and I wouldn't have to face people looking at me with such sadness in their eyes thinking of Amella.

  8. Okay, so this is probably the fourth or fifth time I've actually read this chapter before I got distracted and lost the link to this story. I've got it saved now, so I think that I should be able to keep up.
It's actually a really interesting start to the story.

    1. LOL aww well glad it's saved. The intro is soooo far away from where the story is now though LOL. This is my first story and I've learned now to never start the beginning with the end if you've not written the end. LOL

      hope you enjoy
